The science summer camp in Porto organizes a summer holiday for children with curious and creative minds!
The Summer Club, a science-focused summer camp in Porto, is the ideal program for budding scientists, curious minds, or simply energetic children! It will take place over several weeks during the summer school holidays at the Júlio Dinis School in Porto. It's perfect for seeing them happily learning and discovering the world! Children will encounter challenges that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. It's the perfect space to experiment, investigate, build, and imagine solutions, always getting hands-on and learning through practice.
Mornings are dedicated to discovery! The methodology integrates various areas of knowledge — science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) — and follows Design Thinking, an approach that teaches you to think and solve problems creatively and collaboratively.

Program
The Summer Club program features "Hands-on" activities.
The Summer Club program features "Hands-on" activities. The mornings are dedicated to discovery, with activities inspired by the STEAM methodology and Design Thinking, which stimulate curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking through hands-on experiences.
In the afternoon, the fun continues with games and physical and sensory activities — from traditional games and team challenges to sports, music, and the now-classic water day — promoting well-being and social interaction.
Mornings of Discovery:
Interactive activities based on the STEAM + Design Thinking approach:
- Scientific experiments to understand natural phenomena
- Creative projects with 3D pens
- Visual art and narrative
- Sound and musical exploration with unusual instruments and objects.
- Cooking workshops (a special activity much appreciated by the participants)
- Challenges that stimulate logical reasoning and critical thinking.
Game Afternoons:
- Outdoor and group games and activities:
- Special moment: at the end of each week, the afternoon ends with a shared surprise snackIn a relaxed and festive atmosphere! Did you know that our partner is famous for their delicious crepes?! And that's all we can say!
- Traditional and cooperative games
- Launching flying objects (aerodynamics in practice!)
- Petanque Championship
- Giant board games
- Sports challenges

Working Hours
The Science Holiday Camp in Porto has activities from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, with reception and drop-off of children from 8:45 am to 5:30 pm.
Languages
The monitors at the Summer Club in Porto are able to communicate with participants in both Portuguese and English. Furthermore, many of the participating children are able to help if communication problems arise, because they speak other languages and collaborate in translating and clarifying doubts.

The Summer Club, a Science Holiday Camp in Porto, is organized by A DOIS S, a project dedicated to children that promotes experiences capable of stimulating curiosity, investigation, dialogue, and critical thinking. Activities cover areas such as science, engineering, arts, and creativity, always combining learning with fun.
The goal of A DOIS S is to create experiences that integrate scientific and playful-pedagogical components, valuing the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education model. Furthermore, the projects are "hands-on," providing engaging practical experiences that make the learning process more active and meaningful for children.
