The Lifeguard Course in the Algarve, for juniors, calls upon all water heroes aged 13 to 17 to save swimmers in danger! Offer them two weeks of training with lifelong benefits!
The Junior Lifeguard Course (NSJ) in the Algarve was specifically designed to introduce young people to the important role of lifeguards in society, teaching them how to contribute, whether by helping others or preventing drowning incidents.
This course is designed for children and young people aged 13 to 17 and focuses on basic prevention skills, aquatic rescue techniques, and first aid. Serious topics, super fun approaches!

Location of the Lifeguard Training Course in the Algarve this Summer
The sports holiday camp in the Algarve is located on Faro Beach.
Program
Participants must be able to swim 50 meters continuously without assistance.
In the summer of 2026, the Lifeguard Course will be held in two periods, both lasting two weeks:
June 29th to July 10th There are only 6 spots left.
20 to 31 July There are only 4 spots left.
Services included:
- Personal Accident Insurance
- Membership Fee
- Accompanying the participant upon arrival and departure at the meeting point.
- Transportation for scheduled tours and visits.
- Junior Lifeguard Training Kit (NSJ) Blue Seagull (mandatory)
- Snack (mid-afternoon snack)
Excluded services:
- Transportation to and from the location.
- Lunch
O Sea Tribe Offer Kit – NSJ Blue Seagull Course This kit was created to ensure the identification and safety of all participants, as well as to symbolically mark the completion of this special stage. The kit includes 1 Long Sleeve NSJ Blue Seagull Uniform, the NSJ Passport (if the participant does not already have the Sea Tribe Passport), 1 Blue Seagull Cap, 1 Diploma, and 1 Whistle. The Diploma and Whistle are awarded upon passing the final exam of the Course, officially celebrating the achievement and commitment made during the Blue Seagull journey. The diploma and whistle are items received upon graduation from the NSJ Course (after completing the two weeks).
Complete learning
O Junior Lifeguard Course (NSJ) It combines activities on land, in the pool, at sea and in the estuary, offering a complete view of the role of a professional lifeguard.
Learning through play
Learning can be fun too! Water games, rescue simulations, and team challenges allow participants to put their acquired knowledge into practice in a playful and engaging way.
NSJ – “Our Strength”
The course emphasizes essential values such as teamwork, cooperation, commitment, discipline, and volunteering. These principles help shape young people who are prepared to face challenges and become exemplary citizens in the community.
Languages
The monitors can communicate with the participants in Portuguese. Many of the participating children are able to help if communication problems arise, because they speak other languages and collaborate in translating and clarifying doubts.

Accommodation during the Lifeguard Training Course in the Algarve
The Tribo do Mar sports holiday camp in the Algarve does not have a residential model.
Food
Lunch is the responsibility of the participant.
Transportation
Participants must arrive at the summer camp independently, accompanied by their parents.
