The Lifeguard Course in the Algarve, for juniors, calls upon all water heroes aged 13 to 17 to save swimmers in danger! Offer them fun and useful training for a lifetime!
The Junior Lifeguard Course (NSJ) in the Algarve was specifically designed to introduce young people to the important role of lifeguards in society, teaching them how to contribute, whether by helping others or preventing drowning incidents.
This course is designed for children and young people aged 13 to 17 and focuses on basic prevention skills, aquatic rescue techniques, and first aid. Serious topics, super fun approaches!

Location of the Lifeguard Training Course in the Algarve this Summer
The sports holiday camp in the Algarve is located on Faro Beach, and accommodation is at the Faro Municipal Campsite.
Programme
Participants must be able to swim 50 meters continuously without assistance.
Young people can only earn the title of Junior Swimmer Salvador if they participate in both weeks of the program, as each week includes different modules with exclusive content.

Complete learning
O Junior Lifeguard Course (NSJ) It combines activities on land, in the pool, at sea and in the estuary, offering a complete view of the role of a professional lifeguard.
Learning through play
Learning can be fun too! Water games, rescue simulations, and team challenges allow participants to put their acquired knowledge into practice in a playful and engaging way.
NSJ – “Our Strength”
The course emphasizes essential values such as teamwork, cooperation, commitment, discipline, and volunteering. These principles help shape young people who are prepared to face challenges and become exemplary citizens in the community.
Languages
The monitors can communicate with the participants in Portuguese. Many of the participating children are able to help if communication problems arise, because they speak other languages and collaborate in translating and clarifying doubts.

The program has a duration of 7 days and includes Accommodation, meals and all activitiesFor six nights, participants will enjoy nature and sleep to the sound of the ocean waves.

Accommodation during the Lifeguard Training Course in the Algarve
The Tribo do Mar sports holiday camp in the Algarve offers an all-inclusive residential model:
Residential (Camp) – A seaside holiday camp.
After the last meal, various activities will be available for socializing and entertainment until bedtime.
The camp takes place in Faro Municipal Campsite, ensuring comfort and safety.
There is a specific time for participants to contact their families, between 18:00 PM and 20:00 PM.
Food
Includes 4 meals a day: Breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.
Transportation
Participants must arrive at the summer camp independently, accompanied by their parents.
However, there are transfer options offered by the organization from Faro Train Station, Faro Airport and Faro Bus Station, for an extra cost: €40 return or €20 for a one-way trip.
Side Dishes
The safety of participants is a priority. The Municipal Campsite has 24-hour security, and identification bracelets will be used to control entry and exit. No participant may leave the premises without prior authorization, and during the night, only accompanied by a coordinator or monitor.
Additional information
Participants will have access to their mobile phones from dinnertime until bedtime. They can also contact their families between 19:00 PM and 20:30 PM.
