In Vila do Conde, there are holidays full of fun and joy for children aged 6 to 16!

Summer full of adventure, fun and new friendships? It's possible, and all included! At the Holiday Camp in Vila do Conde, children and young people aged 6 to 16 will find a complete and unforgettable program. The camp takes place at the Vairão Monastery, just 8 km from the city, and includes activities, meals and accommodation. Between July 4th and August 22nd, it will operate with stays of 8 or 15 days, always starting and ending on a Saturday.

At this Adventure Holiday Camp in Vairão, children will experience many adventures.

Activities planned for 8 days:

• 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th periods – surfing, bodyboarding, horseback riding, swimming pool, games, outings, sports activities and workshops.
• 2nd, 4th and 6th periods – canoeing, SUP (stand up paddle), mountain biking, swimming pool, games, outings, sports activities and workshops.

8-day activities:

• First period: July 4th to 11th
• First period: July 11th to 18th
• First period: July 18th to 25th
• 4th period: July 25th to August 1st
• 5th period: August 1st to 8th
• 6th period: August 8st to 15th
• 7th period: August 15st to 22th

 

Activities planned for 15 days. Selection of 2 consecutive periods from the 8-day program.:

• All periods – surfing, bodyboarding, mountain biking, canoeing, SUP (stand up paddle), horseback riding, swimming pool, games, walks, sports activities and workshops.

 

Languages

The monitors are able to communicate with participants in both Portuguese and English. Furthermore, many of the participating children are able to assist with communication difficulties because they speak other languages ​​and can help with translation and clarification.

The prices for the summer 2026 edition depend on whether the duration is 8 or 15 days:

News

Siblings are entitled to a 5% discount, starting with the second sibling, on their respective participation fees.

Accommodation at the Holiday Camp in Vila do Conde

The Holiday Camp operates within the Vairão Monastery, the region's main monument, founded before the year 974. This center is equipped with three independent accommodation sectors, which include dormitories with 6 double bunk beds, as well as sanitary facilities and bathrooms with showers.

The Monastery also has a kitchen, refectory, common room, disco, games room, library/playroom, spaces for workshops, meetings and shows, as well as a cloister and large outdoor areas with a swimming pool and equipment.

Food

All meals are included in this Holiday Camp – breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and supper.

Transportation

Participants can travel to the camp location independently or request a transfer from Lisbon (location and time to be confirmed).

If you are arriving independently, you must arrive at the Vairão Monastery on the first day between 16:00 PM and 19:00 PM, and on the last day you must leave between 11:00 AM and 14:00 PM.

A rare route to the Vairão Monastery: A28 (Porto/Valença), exit 14 (Mindelo/Santo Tirso). Follow the signs to Fajozes until you reach the pillory intersection and turn left (yellow arrow indicating LNIV). Continue for another 4km to the center of Vairão.

Insurance

Participants in the Holiday Camps are covered by Personal Accident Insurance which, in addition to other risks, covers civil liability against third parties, and only considers damages caused to people/entities outside the camps.

APCC advises the legal representatives of participants to supplement this Personal Accident Insurance with family civil liability insurance that covers damages caused to people/entities involved in the camps.

Side Dishes

Each summer camp has an educational team whose role is to accompany the participants and develop a series of activities with content appropriate to the age group they are intended for.
