Holiday Camp in Central Portugal in Serra d'Aire

This holiday camp in Central Portugal will feature many extreme activities in nature, on a farm in the Serra d'Aire mountains!

The holiday camp in Central Portugal, in the Serra d'Aire, is for young people aged 6 to 17, takes place from June 30th to August 31st (in 7-day shifts), and accommodation, meals and activities are included in the price.

At this holiday camp, extreme activities are accompanied by incredible scenery, but that's not all! Did you know that the Serra d'Aire is famous for its underground caves? Can you imagine rappelling down a cave? Or rock climbing on a natural wall with complete safety? And how about doing the zip line in the heart of the Serra de Aires e do Candeeiros Natural Park and ending the day with a mountain bike ride on the marked trails?

The holiday center also has its own swimming pool, but even better, at this holiday camp, children will have the opportunity to enjoy the Alviela River, where water activities will be developed, taking advantage of the maximum safety offered by the river beach!

The Serra d'Aire summer camp will be an adventure where young people will learn to work as a team, as well as awaken to the need to protect the environment and enjoy nature. Ecology, nature, and adventure are the keywords of this camp.

Young people will certainly discover new skills, improve their interpersonal skills, and meet many people from different backgrounds. It will be an experience of diversity, in constant contact with nature.

Program

Nature will undoubtedly be where the kids spend most of their time. A program full of incredible activities in nature. What a week it's going to be!

In general, these are the activities and adventures that will take place during the week at this summer camp in central Portugal:

• Track Games
• Beach Volleyball, Soccer and Handball Games
• Riding
• Pedagogical Farm

Note 1: Everyone will be involved in the spirit of Summer Camp.

Note 2: The activities proposed above will always be dependent on external factors such as weather conditions and local impediments. They will be promptly replaced by others adapted to the group of children/young people and with a similar impact. Other activities suitable for the group of participants may also be included.

Participants will be monitored 24 hours a day by qualified monitors with experience working with young people and carrying out different activities.

Working Hours

Arrival time at the holiday camp is between 15:00 and 16:00At the end of the field, the match will be until 15:00.

Languages

The monitors, who will accompany the children 24 hours a day, are prepared to speak in both Portuguese and English.

Prices for Holiday Camps in Central Portugal (Serra D'Aire) in 2025

The holiday camp is €340 per week/participant.
Prices include food, accommodation, and activities. Transportation to the colony is the participants' responsibility.

Accommodation at a Holiday Camp in Central Portugal

The Quinta is located about 1 hour from Lisbon. It includes the Environmental Education Center, located right on the property. Aire and Candeeiros Mountains Natural ParkIn this park, various activities will be developed, allowing participants direct contact with nature.

Accommodation will be provided at the Quinta, in dormitories specially prepared for this type of event.

The Quinta is a place with a tradition in organizing holiday camps and is equipped with everything necessary to run an excellent camp.

Food

All participants will be entitled to six meals: Breakfast, Morning Snack, Lunch, Afternoon Snack, Dinner, and Supper.

Meals will be provided in restaurants, canteens, or in the kitchens of the holiday center facilities by certified chefs, prioritizing quality (proven by years of experience) and placing great emphasis on the variety and thoughtfulness of the chosen menus.

Participants can also help prepare meals, including barbecues and picnics, but always under the supervision of the teaching team.

All the teaching teams at the Holiday Camp in the Center have guidelines provided by an in-house nutritionist regarding the appropriate diet for participants during the Holiday Camp period.

Transportation

Transportation to the Holiday Camp must be provided by the guardian in his/her vehicle, both upon arrival and upon return home.

There is a round-trip transfer from Lisbon to the summer camp. If you need transportation from Lisbon to the summer camp, you can take advantage of the transfer departing from Lisbon. The pick-up location and time will be arranged closer to the date. You can select the transfer option on the registration form.

Transfer prices are €20 for one trip or €40 for two trips.

Supervising a Holiday Camp in Serra D'Aire

Participants will receive 24-hour support from qualified monitors with experience working with young people and conducting the various activities.

Additional information

The holiday camp in question takes place in 7-day shifts in order to provide a highly educational and intensive program.

The different shifts will take place with a minimum of 20 participants and a maximum of 60 participants.
