The holiday camp in Central Portugal, in the Serra d'Aire, is for young people aged 6 to 17. It takes place during the Easter school holidays – between April 6th and April 10th, 2026 – and includes accommodation, meals and activities.

At this summer camp, extreme activities take center stage. There's time for rappelling in a cave, rock climbing on a natural wall, and zip-lining in the heart of the Serra de Aires e Candeeiros Natural Park. The days are rich, dynamic, and exciting!

The extreme activities, the landscape, and the unique caves of the Serra d'Aire make this summer camp one of a kind. But the experience doesn't end there! At the Serra d'Aire summer camp, young people will learn to work as a team, as well as develop an awareness of the need to protect the environment and enjoy nature. Ecology, nature, and adventure are the keywords of this camp.

Young people will discover new skills, improve their interpersonal abilities, and meet many people from different places. It will be a diverse experience, in constant contact with nature.

Programme

Nature will be the place where young people will spend most of their time. A program with a green setting and unique challenges!

In general, these are the activities and adventures that will take place during the week at this summer camp in central Portugal:

  • Team games and challenges with support from the monitors.

  • Climbing and rappelling

Note 1: Everyone is encouraged to have a spirit of respect and mutual support. 

Note 2: The proposed activities will always be dependent on external factors, such as weather conditions or local restrictions. They will be promptly replaced by others adapted to the group of children and young people, with a similar impact. Other activities suitable for the group of participants may also be included.

Participants will be monitored 24 hours a day by qualified monitors with experience working with young people and carrying out different activities.

Working Hours

Arrival time at the holiday camp is from 11hAt the end of the field, the match will be until 11pm.

Languages

The monitors who will accompany the young people 24 hours a day are prepared to speak in both Portuguese and English.

Prices for Holiday Camps in Central Portugal (Serra D'Aire) at Easter 2026

The holiday camp is €300 per participant.
Prices include food, accommodation, and activities. Transportation to the colony is the participants' responsibility.

Accommodation at a Holiday Camp in Central Portugal

The Quinta is located about 1 hour from Lisbon. It includes the Environmental Education Center, located right on the property. Aire and Candeeiros Mountains Natural ParkIn this park, participants are in direct contact with nature and are always involved in exciting activities.

Accommodation will be provided at the Quinta, in dormitories specially prepared for this type of event.

The Quinta, with a long tradition in organizing holiday camps, is fully equipped to guarantee an excellent experience.

Food

Meals are prepared by certified chefs in restaurants, canteens, or the holiday center's kitchens, ensuring quality, variety, and nutritional balance.

Participants will be able to help prepare some meals, such as barbecues and picnics, always under the supervision of the teaching staff.

All teams follow guidelines from an in-house nutritionist to ensure proper nutrition during the Holiday Camp.

Transportation

Transportation to and from the holiday camp must be arranged by the parent or guardian.

There is a round-trip transfer between Lisbon and the summer camp. Those who need it can select this option on the registration form. The departure location and time will be confirmed closer to the date.

Transfer prices are €20 for one trip or €40 for two trips.

Supervising a Holiday Camp in Serra D'Aire

Participants will be accompanied 24 hours a day by qualified monitors with experience working with young people in different activities.

The holiday camp in question takes place over 5 days and 4 nights and is highly educational and intensive.

There is one monitor for every six participants up to the age of 10, and one monitor for every ten participants between the ages of 11 and 17.
