Age-appropriate programs at this summer camp near Lisbon

At MyCamp in Cartaxo, your little ones' holiday programs are divided by age group. All age groups also participate in adventure and water sports, including the youngest. So, here's what you can find:

Ages 6 to 9: First Adventures

For younger children, MyCamp offers a safe and welcoming environment with age-appropriate activities: educational games, nature adventures, body expression activities, group challenges, and creative workshops.

Ages 10 to 13: Challenges and Friendships

This age group experiences the full range of activities, including climbing, sliding, orienteering, sports games, water activities, and group dynamics, always focusing on autonomy and cooperation.

Ages 14 to 17: Leadership and overcoming challenges.

Young people participate in more demanding projects, including strategy games, debates, charitable activities, physical challenges, and social interaction. There is also room for reflection and personal development.

Working Hours

Participants are welcomed on the first day, with check-in between 14 PM and 18 PM. Departure time on the last day is between 10 AM and 12 PM.

Languages

The instructors speak both Portuguese and English to ensure efficient communication with all participants.

MyCamp Cartaxo holiday camp prices in 2025

All programs include accommodation, meals, activities, and insurance, with discounts for repeat participants from the previous year and for siblings.

Services included:

• Accommodation in dormitory style or glamping (choose at the time of registration);
• Full board with 5 daily meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and supper;
• 24-hour supervision by specialized monitors;
• Equipment and materials needed to carry out all program activities;
• Insurance that covers personal accidents and civil liability, according to the Decree-Law No. 304/2003 and the applicable regulations;
• First aid station available, with a first responder present from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 18 pm, between May 12th and September 5th.

Services not included:

• Transportation to the summer camp location;
• Bed linen (sleeping bag, fitted sheet, pillow and pillowcase) and towels.

The price for a second or more siblings is €540 per person per week. The discount only applies to siblings.

Payment Options

Payment will be made through the Multibanco reference entity, after completing the registration form and submitting confirmation of approved pre-registration.

Accommodation at the MyCamp holiday camp in Cartaxo

Participants are accommodated in shared rooms, divided by gender and age group. All spaces are comfortable, safe, and supervised.

The program includes full board, with five daily meals prepared by a team specializing in child and adolescent nutrition.

Quinta da Broeira occupies ten hectares and has the capacity to accommodate up to 450 participants, with accommodation included.

The facilities are thoughtfully designed, offering a spacious dining room, a kitchen equipped to hotel standards, and a covered porch that serves as an extension of the dining room. In the center, there is a patio paved with Portuguese cobblestones, providing access to some of the rooms.

In addition, children and young people have access to several common rooms, a disco, a projection room, an art studio, and spacious and functional bathrooms.

Outside, the space is ideal for outdoor activities, with 2 swimming pools, a football field, a picnic area, an educational farm, private parking and much more.

Food

Before making a reservation, we recommend that you consult us regarding the available dietary options.

If you have any allergies or specific dietary needs, please let us know on the registration form so we can adapt the meals whenever possible.

It is possible to adapt the menu to dietary restrictions, provided this is indicated at the time of registration.

Transportation to the MyCamp holiday camp

Transportation to the camp is the responsibility of the families. That is, parents/guardians must drop off and pick up the participants at the stipulated times.

There are transfer options available from Lisbon, either from the airport or from a train station – usually Oriente.

Occasionally, they can also pick up or drop off at train stations near the holiday camp in Santana – Cartaxo, Azambuja and Santarém.

Monitoring and security team

MyCamp counselors have training in various fields, such as arts, sports, music, and educational psychology. All submit a resume, criminal record check, and medical certificate guaranteeing their physical and psychological fitness.

Each group of participants is supervised 24 hours a day, with one monitor for every 10 children.

Additional information

• Participants will only be able to use the phone during a specific time, defined on the first day, to contact their parents. During the rest of the time, parents can contact the responsible coordinator.
• To facilitate integration, participants are divided into three groups according to age: 6 to 9 years, 10 to 13 years, and 14 to 17 years;
• Within this summer camp near Lisbon, the terms, conditions, and regulations of the MyCamp organization apply.

Essential items to pack for participants

Participants should bring comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities. Additionally, it is recommended to bring some warmer clothes for the evenings.

On the final night, there is the gala evening, so it is advisable to bring more elegant attire, saved especially for this occasion.

Therefore, your children should pack the following in their bags:

Recommendations

• Mobile phones are not allowed during activities;
• All clothing and personal belongings should be labeled to avoid loss or mix-ups;
• Avoid sending valuables, as the organization is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, including mobile phones and chargers.

MyCamp Holiday Camp Cancellation and Refund Policy

If your children are unable to attend the summer camp, the following conditions apply:

• Cancellation is allowed up to 45 days before the start date.Cancellation fee of €70;
• Cancellation between 45 and 20 days before the start date.: 50% refund of the amount paid;
• Cancellation with less than 20 days' noticeThere are no refunds.

The cancellation request must be sent by email to the organization, including the participant's personal details, the week they are registered for, and the IBAN for the refund.

Weekly swaps Registrations are accepted up to one and a half months before the start of the camp, subject to availability, at a cost of €25 per participant.
