Artistic Holiday Camp in Odemira, Alentejo in Summer 2026

Four unique weeks for young people, adults, and families to experience an artistic adventure in the Alentejo region.

A summer camp for art lovers – from 8 to 100 years old!

In the heart of the Alentejo region, in São Luís, Odemira – a setting of nature, silence and beauty – the Semear o Mundo project offers a unique artistic summer camp. Four weeks will be dedicated to expression, creativity and personal development.

Why participate in the Odemira Artistic Summer Camp?

At this summer camp, participants can explore their talents in different artistic expressions, in a creative and collaborative environment. Each week is dedicated to a different theme and age group.

Program

In this artistic summer camp, each week was designed as a unique experience:

— In Week 1The young people immerse themselves in theatrical training and collectively create a show, which is presented to families and the community on the final day.
— In Week 2In this program, artists find the time and space to savor, share, and reflect on their creative practices.
— In Week 3Young adults explore art and creativity as paths to transformation and personal development.
— In Week 4Different generations come together in a lively and engaging performance, blending expression, improvisation, and co-creation for the community.

Timetable

The activities of the artistic summer camp in Odemira will take place from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 17 pm.

Languages

The teachers and monitors at the artistic summer camp in Odemira are able to communicate with the participants in both Portuguese and English.

Prices for Artistic Holiday Camp in Odemira

Registration Phase 1 (up to 15 days before the start of the week) — €150
Registration Phase 2 (from 14 days prior until the start of the week) — €180 

The registration fee includes:

Personal accident insurance.

All the materials needed to carry out the activities.

Two permanent instructors, with the possibility of trainee/volunteer monitors.

Note: Week 2 (retreat for artists) is free and collaborative.

Food

Meals are not included in the registration fee, but there is an optional lunch available. €40 per weekLunch will be provided by the organizing team. Alternatively, participants may bring their own lunch.

Lunch menus include:

— Main course of your choice: meat, fish, or vegetarian option — Drink: still or flavored water, local herbal tea, or fresh lemonade — Seasonal fruit

On picnic days, the menu includes:

— Sandwiches (roast beef, tuna, or egg) or vegetable wrap — Dried apple chips — Carrot and raw cucumber bars — Seasonal fruit and drink

Detailed menus will be provided one week in advance. Participants are responsible for bringing their own morning and afternoon snacks.

During Week 2 of the Artists' Retreat, meals are prepared collaboratively by the group, with the budget and the procurement and preparation plan defined together.
